Delightful, Rose! I shared your blog on my Facebook page. I think you are a great inspiration for seniors who might want to blog, but be afraid. How did you get started? I think you’re at the front of a trend. Great poem. It sings!

You have made my month!!!I love your website and your Twitter posts and access it several times daily! Judging by your site and your Twitter followers, this is a real boost to MY site for you to put this post on your Facebook page! Thank you more than I have room to say here right now! You really think I am part of a wave of “returning senior writers”? I would SO love that!

Refreshing humor and frankness in this poem (I can relate! 🙂 ) – and the dance of your words! We older baby-boomers still “got it!”

Yes, we older boomers certainly DO! We were there during the FIRST iteration of the Rolling Stones, after all! So glad you though my words “danced”: I was shooting for that effect. Yeah! P.S. Speaking of us activist children of the 60s, I have been reading about how the OWS campus protesters are finally being inspired by the way WE exercised our constitutional rights to SPEAK OUT, to STAND UP–(and yes, we DID dance in the streets some, holding our little lit candles in the darkness!) So, we are strong, we are proud, we are the BOOMERS!!!!

Sue, you are SO righteous with your “can-can” can-do wishes for me. Keep ’em coming, girl. So thrilled you enjoyed my ditty of celebrating my own victorious survival and white-haired giddiness!! Always hold my breath (almost) to wait for your comments to my posts! I still don’t have this whole “how-do-I-handle -this- whole- award -nomination -business?” firesolved, but I do love our writers’ community online!

‘Old shoes dance best’ has so much in such a small step of words. Keep dancing, Rose! Thank you for allowing me to follow your lead.

Peter, you and your double entendres!! “Small step of words”, indeed! Just for that, you will now address me as “Miss Rose”, young man! (Just being white-haired silly again, of course!) Someday, you and I WILL meet (maybe on the other side of the Jordan!), and you had BETTER follow my “lead”, if you know what is good for you!! Ha, ha, tee, hee–you are such a “bomb” for real!

You simply exude youth . . . I don’t care what you real life age may be . . . in the Bloggy World, you are just a kid.

Miss Demure, you just took 10 years off my self-perceived age. Now I will “kick up the heels of my bloggy shoes”. I am named after my maternal grandmother, of whom everyone who knew her said she had the youngest heart and the oldest head of anyone they knew. I DO aspire to emulate her–and you caught me at it, you sly girl!
