UNBELIEVABLE!!! http://missdemurerestraint.wordpress.com HAS NOMINATED ME FOR THE “TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF BLOG AWARD. HERE ARE THE SEVEN THINGS ABOUT MYSELF:
1. I only allowed myself to go totally white-haired(no fakery) 18 months ago.
2. I can still walk over 8 miles without stopping, except to sip water and retrieve a munchie from my pack.
3. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat, who all sleep curled up together on “their” bed.
4. I grew up as a Methodist, became an Episcopalian as a young adult, and rejoined the United Methodist Church about 3 1/2 years ago.
5. I try to eat only unprocessed, organic foods.
6. I was the only member of my class in elementary school who threw up trying to sit through a horror movie.
7. I have been told many times that I have an “operatic” voice, but it absolutely does not blend with others when trying to sing in choirs.
EVEN IF I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO NOMINATE SOME OTHERS FOR THIS AWARD, I WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE THESE OTHER BLOGGERS:
1. http://aboutzen.wordpress.com
2. http://talkingleaves.wordpress.com
3. http://raindancepoetry.wordpress.com
4. http://zendictive.wordpress.com
5. http://cottonbombs.wordpress.com
6. http://agapintheclouds.wordpress.com
7. http://suedreamwalker.wordpress.com
THERE ARE AT LEAST 2.5 TIMES THIS MANY BLOGS I ADMIRE TREMENDOUSLY, BUT DUE TO MY COMING OUT OF 20 YEARS+ OF SELF-EFFACEMENT AS A WRITER, FOR SOME REASONS KNOWN AND SOME UNKNOWN TO MYSELF, THE ABOVE SEVEN SITES HAVE PRICKED OPEN ALL THAT STORED UP “STUFF” THE QUICKEST AND THE MOST GENTLY. I WILL JUST ADD THAT:
aaaaa++++ RATING IN ALL CATEGORIES, IN MY OPINION, AND PERSONALLY FROM ME, GOES TO:
SCORES OF HUMBLEST BOWS TO ALL!!!
Nov 27, 2011 @ 23:39:54
Congratulations…. 🙂
Nov 29, 2011 @ 02:37:48
“Congratulations” from YOU, heart-tale, is better than champagne from many others! I long to be able to afford the equipment needed to make my blog as multi-faceted as yours!
Nov 28, 2011 @ 00:42:00
Congratulations, Rose, you’re very deserving! 🙂
Nov 29, 2011 @ 02:40:00
Lauren, I humbly bow to your superior blogging skills. I have learned a lot from you. When you say I am deserving, I am just overwhelmed! Thank you
Nov 28, 2011 @ 05:41:35
Congratulations, Granbee! You deserved this, and I enjoyed reading the 7 things about you. 🙂 And thank you for including me in your list of 7! 🙂 🙂 🙂
(BTW, the correct URL for my blog is http://raindancepoetry.wordpress.com, rather than “seasonings…” When creating my blog back in August, I didn’t know what I was doing, thus the confusion. Alas, now it’s too late to go back and change the names of things, without creating even more confusion.)
Nov 29, 2011 @ 02:43:07
Betty, thank you so much for EVERYTHING you have contributed to my return to full-time writing. I, too, have so much to learn about literary/artistic blogging. I DO NOT want to return to my techie-geekie self of yesteryear! That is NOT really me, as you guys in all my beloved wordpress blogs have shown me. So sorry I go your URL wrong, but at least now anyone following my blog, reading this post+comments can see the correction. Most humble apologies and thanks.
Nov 28, 2011 @ 21:44:38
Congratulations, granbee. And I’m with Betty in saying thank you for listing me above 🙂 And also, my adress is wrong too that is my deleted blog here is the new one http://agapintheclouds.wordpress.com/ (my fault, I caused confusion when I deleted it)
Also the last link catlascrossing doesn’t work.
Your #7 could this be because the other voices aren’t operatic? 🙂
Nov 29, 2011 @ 02:46:38
Martin, thanks so much for the gentle correction of your actual URL. Because I myself stayed with the game username as the part of my own URL before “.wordpress.com”, I very foolishly misthought others did the same. Actually, I have been considering changing just the TITLE of my blog. On the other hand, all of my favorite literary and artistic bloggers have learned my site as just “granbee”, so may not! As I said to Betty, I am so over-joyed and pleased to have found your site and continue to grow every time I read a new post from you!
Nov 29, 2011 @ 02:51:15
As do I when I read your comments to my meagre words, thank you.
Nov 29, 2011 @ 04:42:47
Martin, your words could never be meagre. Oh, yeah, “meagre”, like The Complete Works of Shakespeare are meagre when compared to the Unabridged Oxford English Dictionary, my man!
Nov 29, 2011 @ 04:46:26
Don’t say that, granbee. I cannot be compared, words is all they are.
Nov 29, 2011 @ 04:49:18
“Words” are produced, in part, by the pen that is ALWAYS mightier than the sword, remember?
Nov 29, 2011 @ 04:51:57
We could go on forever here 🙂
Nov 29, 2011 @ 05:40:57
—-and ever!
Nov 29, 2011 @ 05:22:31
Congratulations Granbee on the award and so deserving too.. And loved the Throwing up thing about yourself hehe…. I thought I was the only one who did that! 🙂 … I dislike Horror Horror… although I did go and see the latest episode of Twilight.. Just to keep up with my kids… Shusssshh… dont tell them I actually enjoyed watching it.. 🙂
Many thanks for the Award mention… I have one award in a cue as it is.. It is GREAT that you thought of me.. Love and Gratitude.. xxx
Nov 29, 2011 @ 05:27:15
I can totally relate to letting the “awards” pile up trying to figure out what to do about them! And guess what? Not only did I throw up in horror movies but I ONLY cry when an especially moving moment happens in a show or movie, like Bambi’s father finding him, etc. MY kids always knew when I was about to tear up. They would turn around on their beanbags in front of the television and chorus as one: “Mo—oooo——mmmmm!” My husband now just puts the small Kleenex box in my lap and shakes his head!
Nov 29, 2011 @ 05:34:09
Me too… and ditto with the kids … Due to the energy shifts and the Female energy vibrations getting more of a foothold upon the planet.. something my hubby would never do was shed a tear at a movie.. Now he uses more Kleenex than me.. lol.. Strange old world…. or not so.. Good night my friend.. x
Nov 29, 2011 @ 05:41:56
My husband actually cries at real life sentimental scenes, just not digitized versions of such!
Nov 29, 2011 @ 12:36:40
Rose! Congratulations! I am flattered to be a small part of your accolade. I loved your last description of stepping out of your house sore from past traumas. Your description reminds me to try and get into the heart and soul of another while watching them walk down the street, or, shuffle, boogie, or creak. Don’t mock age, hope to reach it!
Nov 30, 2011 @ 02:05:40
Mr. Peter, I am so pleased this message of watching folks with empathy got through to you with my post. See? We do good in the world even when we just sort of stumble into speaking or writing.
Dec 18, 2011 @ 03:50:46
Belated congratulations! I so enjoyed your ‘telling’ list!
Dec 18, 2011 @ 05:14:39
Most humble thanks. No congratulations are ever too late! And isn’t it neat we actually get to be considered interesting, rather than boring, when we tell about ourselves on these blogs?
Dec 21, 2011 @ 05:55:59
