Lenten Journey – Day 3

Biblical Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:1-5

Open Invitation to Join Terri

**********************************

24-Feb-12:  2 Timothy 4:1-5    In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead,  and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I solemnly urge you:  2 proclaim the message;  be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage,  with the utmost patience in teaching.  3 For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine,  but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires,  4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander away to myths.  5 As for you, always be sober, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry fully.

“…..and you said I would never be able to teach you the way up”

All the while Shrub Woman needed a rest and a prop

after stresseling, pusheling from the tangelly bottom

Up dodged and lodged  next her at sheer top

Old Crookeye Sherpherd in huffeling haste made her to sottom.

Beaming light from sparkling eye of Ugly Bird back to friends

Old  CrookEye pulled  dark from last bare topping rocks

Dragging all parts of all friends by heartstrings in new trends

Ne’er giving sway to old mumbelly, tumbelly, scrumbelly blocks.

I like your version of Bible stories. I wouldn’t have fallen asleep so much when reading the Bible if there’d been some Books of Granbee in there. I want a vlog so I can hear you pronounce those words and for everybody to get the full rhythm of your rhyme. What do you say? 🙂

This part: “All the while Shrub Woman needed a rest and a prop after stresseling”
reminds me of Hagar in the desert. I always felt a little sorry for her.

Tots, you will NOT get a vlog from me. You are supposed to read these lines aloud, for they are meant to be unique for each reader! By the way, I am only about a month late with some goofy illustrations, but I WILL start with them on Monday, okay? Love fooling around in my Paint program!

Of course, I am ecastatic that you say you would never have fallen asleep reading from the Book of Granbee! That is a central part of my motivation to KILL myself working on this allegorical adult fairy tale series–to really wake people up, drive them to connect with each other, and get this ol’ world’s groove on the way it was intended to start with!

Granbee.. Grooving… Granbee… LOL… love it.. and your answer to Tots too.. I have been reading some scripture myself today, Matthew chapter 24…..And we are my dear Granbee part of that Net work of Lightworkers who despite different backgrounds are all working for the Great I AM.. and it may be likened to a great grid system on the etheric level and another quote here… ( For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against Powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world ) Ephesians. VI. 12 )
Love and Light my wonderful friend…
For Together we Stand~ Divided we fall….. xxx

Ephesian Chapter 6, v. 12 is one of my lifetime favorites. My grandfather would use this to remind me of the true nature of the verbal bullying at my elementary school! He is grinning up a storm right now at us in this wonderfully spiritual and joyful blogging exchange! So pleased you arrived at the point where I had finished responding to Tots. You two really ought to form an act and go on the road!

Granbee, imma runnin and jumpin with my boot laces straggling and dragging along, juggling and fumbling with my bible in hand, Trying to get to Granbee’s to hear a word of wisdom in such a unique but factual way, wandering if that beam of light from old ugly bird will shine through for me to find my way to that word of truth that Granbee brings to the critters of tomorrow. I love you Granbee with sugar and spice and gravy on a grain of rice. Taking it all in and keeping it tucked away, that I might be that ugly old bird showing another critter the way of Christ.

Blessings from my heart to yours.

Oh, dearest Shenine, you have won my heart forever my wanting to take my place as Ugly Bird! I love all your rhymes in your comments here! Such fun! You know, Jesus really wants us to have fun and rejoice with Him! God’s walking and talking with first humans in the cool of the evening would still be going on if we had not messed up! Bless you for your enthusiastic support here today. Love you!

These are all so creative, exploring, explanatory, meaning, as you language twists and turns and dances and does physical things no word is really meant to do. This is unusual, delightful poetry.

Can’t have any sleeping or comatose words here, now can we, on this most challening of spiritual journeys? Love you and Ethel and your son and all your family. All of your posts inspire me so much, but I will not blame you for my weird words, okay? Ha!
