28-Feb-12: 1 Peter 3:8-18a
8 Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
9 Do not repay evil for evil or abuse for abuse; but, on the contrary, repay with a blessing. It is for this that you were called—that you might inherit a blessing.
“….and I thought you and Ugly Bird and Old Crow were mad at me!”
Trampling and grampling and nibbling and scribbling off in the rocks
Spotted Goat snortling and courtling the taggly ends of our crew
Wiggling eye under knotty forehead uppsy-downsy-allaroundsy pocks
Spotted Goat all trembley-bimbley under wings upahead in chatter much ado.
“Come up here, come up front, come up to brighter light,”cawed Old Crow.
“Come up now, come up thou, come up to bow in light,” chirped Ugly Bird.
“Come see, come saw, come bee, come baw in all glow,” whistled Dragonfly.
“OH!OH! OH! You are not mad at my horns, my stink, my jaw? OH,JOY!” leaped Spotted Goat.

i just love how the bible verses come alive under your pen..
Feb 29, 2012 @ 05:44:28
Bless, you, oh dear talented Claudia, for saying such kind things about my post! I do feel myself moving around inside the verses everyday as I meditate upon them!
Feb 29, 2012 @ 10:30:25
I agree with Claudia. Maybe Little Totsy would be more interested in you version of Bible verses. She sure did take after me when it comes to nodding in the pages. So you can bring us up to the brighter light too. 🙂
Mar 01, 2012 @ 01:45:31
Tots, what a high honor and deep pleasure it would be to have you and Little Tots along on this climb into the Light! You are BEYOND encouraging when you tell me these poems bring you the Bible lessons and keep you wide awake!

Mar 01, 2012 @ 02:45:55
And I’m also thinking of redemption for the scapegoat.
Mar 01, 2012 @ 03:43:17

Rose! I think we all have days when we feel like the Spotted Goat. And the opening passage is about one of the hardest things to do: bless when we want to curse. Thank you for the shot in the heart and brain, Rose!
Mar 01, 2012 @ 23:38:09
Dear, dear Peter! Yes, I am a spotted goat in this small U.S. Deep South town on a LOT of days! Praise be for all the inspiration such experiences provides to my writing! Blessing these folk here when the old me would have kicked their tires, at the very least, is the result of much spiritual work. It has been greatly advanced, as well, by the support of such good online friends as yourself! Bless you! So pleased this post affected both your heart and your brain!

Mar 06, 2012 @ 03:38:38
reading through all of your posts hear Granbee and so many followers of those little critters.. who have such lessons to teach…. I so embrace your words and story..
I wish more would heed the opening words of your post
“Do not repay evil for evil,. ” etc God never taught and EYE for an EYE… if he did, then the world would go blind…
Mind you there are many who cannot see… even with eyes! Love to you xx
Mar 06, 2012 @ 04:10:52
Oh, dear Sue, it is because there are so many who do not see with their physical eyes that I write to touch them in their souls! Bless you for your terriffically vital encouragement and support in our journey together. So please to be in your gracious company!
