10-Mar-12: Mark 9:2-8
Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart, by themselves. And he was transfigured before them,
3 and his clothes became dazzling white, such as no one on earth could bleach them.
4 And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, who were talking with Jesus.
5 Then Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us make three dwellings, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
6 He did not know what to say, for they were terrified.
7 Then a cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud there came a voice, “This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to him!”
8 Suddenly when they looked around, they saw no one with them any more, but only Jesus.
“………….and you say you didn’t know HE was flying above you?”
Once wounded, now bounded and hugged and bugged to be more care-ful, YES!
Old Spottedy Goat lay so contenteddy, so blessedy, in the lap of that healing Stumpy, WHEE!
Littley Ol’ Lamby hopped and skipped all about, never mind any rocks, so much in glee o’er passing a test!
All friends huddling ’round, waiting and stating their joy o’er Spottey, e’en Ol’ Floppy Ears in glee!
With sudden rush of wind and blazing light, e’en unto Glory, all friends fell down on their faces,
All friends grabbed and reached and ne’er unto preached all wonders and visions of HIM on high!
“What means ye so tumbled, mumbled about on ye faces, ye dear critters o’ mine?” cawed Old Crow.
“Why, hush ye cawing, ye old blackey ! Did not not see three on high, come to bless? Oh, my!”

This last line gave me goosebumps, Rose: “Why, hush ye cawing, ye old blackey! Did not not see three on high, come to bless? Oh, my!” Love this one, too!
Mar 16, 2012 @ 00:59:46
Lauren, dear one, I think your goosebumps are exactly the correct reaction to reading about the Transfiguration of Christ! So pleased I was able to convey this effect on you through this post! Bless you, dear girl!

‘What means ye so tumbled, mumbled about on ye faces…’
Does that not describe mankind? And why we so need those blessings on high…
Thank you for the wonder of your vision, Granbee!
Mar 17, 2012 @ 22:50:49
Bless you over and over, Diane, for the blessing your comment brought to my heart just now! I had SO wanted to mirror our human condition and the need to constantly seek enlightenment to “straighten us out”!
