29-Mar-12: Philippians 2:1-11

If then there is any encouragement in Christ, any consolation from love, any sharing in the Spirit, any compassion and sympathy, 2 make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. 5 Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,

6 who, though he was in the form of God,

did not regard equality with God

as something to be exploited,

7 but emptied himself,

taking the form of a slave,

being born in human likeness.

And being found in human form,

8 he humbled himself

and became obedient to the point of death—

even death on a cross.

9 Therefore God also highly exalted him

and gave him the name

that is above every name,

10 so that at the name of Jesus

every knee should bend,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 and every tongue should confess

that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.

“……and you say we will share the mind of The One?”

So the friends under the wings of Crow and Bird and Fly

climbed up out of the healing waters such balm to their feet.

So the friends, the critters, the unly-folk climb once more so high

that oft they needed each other’s arms in brace of help so fleet.

“Oh, now weesies not needsies so much talk, so much clatter-patter!

“Did ye watchies how goodsies we am, by jam, in helping so soft?”

“Aye, and we did know long afore of ye growing wordless when did matter.

“Aye, and we did know ye would be part of the mind of The One up aloft.”

Oh, I love this line, Rose:

“Aye, and we did know long afore of ye growing wordless when did matter.”

Sometimes growing wordless is when we say most. 🙂

Growing wordless (verbally/audibly!) has been my constant goal during this Lenten Season. We must be very quiet to hear that “still, small voice”, mustn’t we? So very pleased, Angela, that you “picked up” on this particular line!

” Hush now ” whispered Old Crow “let us just feel the goodness the brightness the oneness!”………….

    Granbee,

“So the friends…oft they needed each other’s arms in brace of help so fleet”.

There is a lesson in this line for me!! Onwards – towards the Light! 🙂

    Much Love

    Christine plus 1 🙂

Christine, dear friend (and Jack!), it is a very HONORABLE and DESIRABLE thing to lean on each other! Otherwise, we cannot truly connect the way our Creator designed us to do! So pleased this post was helpful to you.

Yes, isn’t it, Vince? So totally marvelous and wondrous almost beyond our imagination to consider “the mind of the ONE up aloft!”

Rose! Truly, what is more worthy of art and poetry than raising our hearts and minds to try to know the mind of God. I do it with poetry that doesn’t quite rhyme and you send your critters on their epic journey. And all the bloggers in between and all their scurrying fingers clip-clapping keys on boards that push down to push up such hopes. God’s mind must be infinite for so many words to be written on the subject, yet, human kind hasn’t even scratched the surface to the depth of His Soul. Keep writing, we’ll get to the infinite yet!

Awesome message and gentle reminder 🙂

Ah, yes, we need each other’s support along THE WAY!

I have had my moments of thinking I could do it all alone…but have realized that to both extend and accept ‘a hand’ are essential for the soul’s progress.

Yes, Diane, we must join together in such bonds of love and support that we do become of One Mind with each other throught the power of The One Above!
