4-Apr-12: Hebrews 12:1-3

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely,

* and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us,2looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of* the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

3 Consider him who endured such hostility against himself from sinners,

* so that you may not grow weary or lose heart.

“……and you say we can run FASTER holding onto each other?”

“Oh, pant, oh rant, oh smattering cant” friends called to each other up the hill.

“Oh, smartee, oh lordee, oh paining in the bootee is weuns,”screeched the questers.

“Oh, hushee ye, saveee ye breathees ye, “called down Big Bluesy Fly in thrill.

“Know ye not, if ye pushees each to’other, ye gets to running faster, ye besters!”

Run the race, run it together
Run the race, do not walk
Run the race, look straight ahead

Over the river and through the woods
It’s off to granbee’s house we go
    the critters know the way
bumbling stumbling running to and fro

Rest we shall, in the shelter of granbee land
then off and running we shall be
    off to see the One
    the One who saves all
the One who prepares our way,
    catches us as we fall

    Quickly now, quickly
    we must be off
no lagging, no lumbering, its time to GO!

Bless you Rose as you bless me always!

You captured the speed in your verse perfectly :-), loved it! Interestingly, I saw this post on my Facebook feed and directly above it was this quote from Paulo Coelho:

“An embrace means I don’t feel threatened by you, I’m not afraid to be this close, I can relax, feel at home, feel protected and in the presence of someone who understands me. It is said that each time we embrace someone warmly, we gain an extra day of life.. (ALEPH)”

A synchronicity of walking together. 🙂 Blessings and hugs to you, Rose.

Yes, hold on for dear life clinging like a clump of peanut butter all meshed together until we are one whole piece rolling down the mountain like a bowling ball knocking the enemy to His feet. When we are together in unity, we are strong in all areas because where one is weak is another critters strength and vice versa. We can come up with bullet proof plan when we have all of our heads together.

With God there is three but one! The Holy Spirit which intercedes on our behalf to Jesus, and Jesus who intercedes on our behalf to God. Unity is power! Cling together and don’t let go. Run Run and don’t look back to that dreary, weary place called earth.
