Greg, one vote for blue laser–of course, you realize your vote counts double! (Credit earned for poetic comments, of course!) Today, in about 2 hours, I will place a short post including all votes in at that time for the type of “light” needed by our journeying critters–and follow with what I, their granbee, think they are looking for in terms of light forms–okay? Dazzle away, brother journeyer!

Granbee, to me it would have to be ” The Perfect Circle”… for we go around in cycles~ forever ~no beginning no end… Forever turning within the wheel of Life.. Onwards and upwards like the water vapour.. falling down like the droplets of rain.. The Native American Indians Know the Power of the Circle
Quote “You have noticed that everything an Indian does in a circle, and that is because the Power of the World always works in circles, and everything tries to be round.
In the old days all our power came to us from the sacred hoop of the nation and so long as the hoop was unbroken the people flourished. The flowering tree was the living center of the hoop, and the circle of the four quarters nourished it. The east gave peace and light, the south gave warmth, the west gave rain and the north with its cold and mighty wind gave strength and endurance. This knowledge came to us from the outer world with our religion.
Everything the power of the world does is done in a circle. The sky is round and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball and so are all the stars. The wind, in its greatest power, whirls. Birds make their nests in circles, for theirs is the same religion as ours. The sun comes forth and goes down again in a circle. The moon does the same and both are round. Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing and always come back again to where they were.
The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is in everything where power moves. Our teepees were round like the nests of birds, and these were always set in a circle, the nation’s hoop, a nest of many nests, where the Great Spirit meant for us to hatch our children.”

Sister SUE, now WHY did I just know already that you would pick the perfect circle of light? Hmmm—-maybe because I am somewhat familiar with Native American spiritual teachings, do you think? (tee, hee!). Anyway, stay tuned in a couple of hours to read a short narrative poem on new post from me here. It will include all votes from followers at that time, as well as what the critters’ granbee thinks they need in the way of light forms to follow at various times and places. Thanks so very much for such a wonderfully informative commentary here to bring us all into your “circle”, dear Sue!

Hi Granbee, I chose none of these lights. How could I chose one over the other. No prejudice in God’s love. When a person aims to bring his whole life under the direction of the light, he longs for the fellowship of other people who share this same commitment. These different lights of others may help me along my journey but they are still the light of man. This fellowship cannot be set up in mans will, but these variety of lights can create a sense of kinship among us as servants of Christ.

I personally was looking for the light of the cross (Jesus), because this is the light I can trust beyond any other light. Friends of truth is one such community, but we do not claim to be the only one. There are many reasons why we as Christ’s servants do not find one another all at once. We each may have light on different things . As seekers we will need the guidance of God to know which one we should join. But the light is one, and brings those who follow it ever closer together. Scripture confirms: John 1:7 “If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another…”

When a person aims to bring his whole life under the direction of the light of Jesus, he longs for the fellowship of other people who share this same commitment. Each one of us possess a light that brings us into unity because we strive to please the one and only true light, which is Jesus. We are then walking in UNITY. When we are in unity the light of Jesus shines so profusely because He is pleased with our faithfulness and desire to please Him in obeying His commandments to us..

I am not sure if I misunderstood your question but this is what my heart believe and was led to speak. Blessings to you Granbee. I really enjoyed this.

No, Shenine, you did not misunderstand. I was actually being a bit of a pedant here, a prodder, a Socratic-type tutor when I asked followers to choose which light form they liked best in this reblogged post. I totally agree with you that ALL the forms of are valid, provided the ultimate source of the light is from Christ, the LIght of the World! But as Jesus showed us when He walked and talked on earth, the outward forms of this Light may be shown in infinite variety!

It seems there are infinite ways of incorporating light…not only in art…and photography…but in our hearts as well!

Diane, I totally agree about the infinite variety of forms of light which may bless us and lead us on our spiritual quests; as I said above to Shenine! You are right on target. I must confess: I was borrowing a Zen and Socratic teaching method here when I asked followers to choose which light form they preferred!

Morning Granbee! did you know there is such a thing as light therapy? 🙂 It does work too, when I remember to put the DVD in the computer. These were wonderful!

Yes, MC, I was made familiar with light therapy back when I was trained in discernment by the Listening Hearts Ministry. We would practice guided meditation in the presence of fluctuating light sources. So pleased you enjoyed this reblogged post on light forms!

I did, it was very nice. 🙂 It works too… interestingly enough there was a guy who was studying medicine on another blog who said people don’t need antidepressents because things like this were beneficial too. 🙂

MC, light therapy, aroma therapy, yoga, meditation, walking in nature, excellent dietary practices, 7-8 hours of good sleep (including REM sleep), plenty of water, music therapy–all included in one’s week will remove all but the most severe cases of clinical depression! Glad you liked it and found it helpful! Bless you!
