“……and we so hungry now are full”

“……and we so hungry now are full”

Comes Spottedy Goat and Littley Lamb, so draggely

in finding through singing and dancing all friends in far

distances ne’er foreseen ‘fore meetin’ th’ Babe so spraggley

tellin’ of questin’ and Light-n’ing for to seek without bar.

Comes Old Crookeye and Sheepsey Dog and Croakey

all stumbly and bumbly and hoppey and boppey to enter New Way

Comes Turtley and FloppyEared boy and donkey so stokey

with strange airs and spare dews and scarce grains for the day.

“Aye, aye, ye critters and unfolk,ye brothers and sisters so rare:

“Now be ye hunger so, thirst so for right true-blue berry and fruit,”

Crooned down Ol’ Crow from above New Trailin’ Way so fair.

“Now ye needs put eye and nose and ear to findin’ food w’out soot.”

“Oh, oh, dear Crow and Ugly Bird, we’uns so weak, so starved a’fore New Way,”

groaned all critterly friends in floppin’ and boppin’ and stoppin’ on path.

“Oh,  no, my no, all ye wingedy ones up high point to no food, no tray

of feedin’ such seekin’ groundlings just as we come to True Way in bath.”

For, lo, the critters did lay all about on high rocks o’er falls so pure and clear

Yet showing no vines or trees, neither fruit nor nut nor crust of ol’ fish.

“Oh, oh, woe, woe we bee’uns w’out food for bodies all stretched to get here;

“Oh, weesie beesie all knackered and knockered w’out hope of a dish.”

“Wait, wait, halt, halt, ye moanin’ groanin’ critters down there,”did call Ol’ Crow.

“Spot ye now, squint ye now, hear ye now, yon Bluesey divin’ in rushin’ river.

“Stand tall, ye now blessed critters, for ye soon be feed with Livin’ Bread down low.

“Stretch out ye hands and touch a New Bluesey, Now Rainbow Fly, w’ promisen quiver.”

I admit, Sue, I was much more rested and allowed myself to have more fun with this segment I selected to share here with you all. And please remember: its was Bluesey who dove into the rocks and deep underwater to bring back up the nourishment and the Rainbow Promise. Let us have ALL the color shine on our joined hands today, dear Sister Sue!

Sue, this says so beautifully so much of what I believe, I could not help noticing the similarity between the Hopi word “elohi” and the Hebrew word “Elohim”! I really must do a serious linguistic trace on this! You are MOST blessed beyond compare for sharing this with me. I immediately shared on my Facebook timeline and on Twitter. I will no doubt come back here several times to forward via personal emails to some others, as well. The message that the decision whether or not to be a Rainbow Warrior is between each of us and our Creator is so very “spot on”, as you Brits would say! May every molecule of every rainbow fill your heart today, Sue!

Granbee you are so very welcome.. I did a blog maybe several years ago now incorporating this Video And Love the ‘Spot on’… We are all from the same source Granbee whether Hopi, Brits or Black/green with Purple spots.. The Rainbow will be with me in my Dreams Grandbee as Im just about ready for an early night its nearly 10pm here and Im up at 5-30 for work.. So Goodnight my friend and Keep Blending those colours/colors 🙂 Love to you ~Sue

I got the part about scarse grains and strange airs. What’s spare dews?

    • granbee
      May 17, 2012 @ 22:50:45

“Spare dews” , as in “very sparing of life-giving moisture” and at the same time, “spare dews”, as in “spare parts-type dews, just the moisture that was left over, as in “the crumbs under My Father’s table.” Love the way you inspect all my phrases–very, very helpful beta reader you are, dear Tots! Hugs!

Old Crow squinted and blinked and winked at the bright lighted Blusey. Blusey dove down to the depths he swam with the fishes….. the sign of the ONE! They gave him the light , the colour and the food. Old Crow scratched his head he squawked and crawed he and and blues leaped and soared !! they fed their critterly crew they fed them OH! please God let them feed us too!

There is too much richness to repeat all of what I see in your poem, Rose, but I just loved this line: “Oh, weesie beesie all knackered and knockered w’out hope of a dish.” It made me laugh ~ and laughter is joy in the soul! Thank you. 🙂

Of course, this is wonderful and enchanting, as always, Rose, but the lines that jumped out at me are: “groaned all critterly friends in floppin’ and boppin’ and stoppin’ on path”. and ““Oh, weesie beesie all knackered and knockered w’out hope of a dish.” I’m sure most of us, I, for one, have had those days of floppin’, boppin’ and stoppin’ on path and feeling like hope has left me for good…your words tell us that no matter what happens along our life’s path, we must never, ever lose sight of HOPE! It all works out in the end~Hugs! 🙂
