“……and then the terrapin blinked.”

“……and then the terrapin blinked.”

Lookin’ up into the top of his shell, dear Terrapin did blink!

“Oh, meesies, mysies, where beez dat light comin’ from?”

Dear Terrapin did ask his heart while stoppin’ his mind from think.

“Oh, goodness graciousies, me feels more light like at a prom!”

Then did dusty voice from under Terrapin toes did croon,

“Ye gets this light from your own soul, ye shell-hous-ed son!

“Ye stored light from Cuddlies’ pats and Jitters’ toe-taps in boon!

“Ye has light to show you way to all friends’ help Spottedy as one!”

So did Terrapin look out to brink and crawled to each friend in turn:

“Come, ye Old Turtley; come, ye Flop-Eared Donkey and boy;

“Come, ye Old Shepherd and Cross-Eyed Dog; Come, let us learn

“How to forgive and help and rescue Dear Spottedy from being a crash-ed toy!”

For each time Terrapin blinked, Rainbowsy lights did glint from each wise eye,

Signalling the friends to move and embrace tottering Spottedy on that cliff,

With Turtley offering strong back and Crookeye lifting up goat so high

As to rest on Donkey’s back, held by arms of boy and Old Shepherd without miff.

“Oh, how ye get all friends to forgive and rescue, dear Terrapin so smart?”

Did Spottedy pant and weep while draped on Donkey so weary but true.

“Oh, I just heard dusty voice saying I must blink the light into each heart;

To point the way to release old thoughts and rejoice in love for our crew.”

“……and now we practice terrapin therapy to get out of this mess!” (Part One)

“……and now we practice terrapin therapy to get out of this mess!”

“Hey, You!  What you meansies, all stompsies my juicy buggsies?”

spit out Old Turtley, thirsting all along on many turns and twists of trail,

blaming Spottedy Goat for all this thirsting cause of planted truggsies

Dear Goatie must perform to keep Friend Riders on board, hearty and hail.

“Hey ye ol’ Spotted One, what for you blew so hard on me tender wings,”

whined Ugly Bird flapping just above Dear Goatie’s nose to cool her feathers,

seeking cooling from hot desert mountain swirls as she swings and sings,

yet caring not bout Spottedy’s labors to bear up friends in these weathers.

“Whist you flappsies that stinking ol’ tail mongst all our faces?”

cried Littley Lamb and Old Shepherd and Cross-Eyed Dog toddling so close

behind Dear Goatie for fear of fallin’ behind and fear of slidin’ in traces

of ol’ rock slides yet blamin’ Dear Goatie for his own goatie-ness of pose.

All this while a jewel-shelled terrapin watched and blinked around the bend.

All this while a dear little rainbow-patched terrapin did blink and think.

All this while the multi-toned terrapin began to pull into shell in a trend

Needed to look inward, to ponder under which stoney word Spottedy would sink.

Dear followers and friends, please ponder and wonder what action Spottedy will next take!

                What would you do?

                What should Friends do?

Stay tuned for Part Two of the healing that comes with terrapin therapy!

“……Oh, who is that telling us we cannot give up?”

“……Oh, who is that telling us we cannot give up?”

Stoppely, poppely, trammely, scammely friends did go down:

Go down in heaps of arms and legs and noses and ears so warped

As they squeezed into ever more narrow trails to reach a crown

Of glory they knew only by report, never seen yet as they carped.

“Oh, we uns so measely, so weasely wid all dis fallin’!

“Why, oh why, canst we not just lie down to die?

“Why, oh, why canst we not be done, not countin’, so smallin’?

“Weez be better for feedin’ de weeds in dis earth, no more to try!”

Then came whirlwind and dark, then oh-so-bright and still:

The Voice: “Where were you when I made the rocks and the weeds?

“Where were you when I set all these sunrays and starbrights to thrill?

“Where were you when I set this clear, narrow path for questing deeds?”

“Hark and bark, ye knockin-noggin critters!” called down Old Crow.

“Hear now the voice of Your Lord telling of all His Power to hold you,

“To hold you on this path, to uphold you in His Care, all for to show

“His Glory in making so great rewards and crowns for the true-blue.”

“……how can we find our way?”

“……how can we find our way?”

“How dare’st we go down yon slope?

“No footsie holds we seez, only tumblin’ rocks!”

Thus did Mistress Mouse and Rooster and Spottedty Goat all groan without hope,

As Rainbow Fly and Old Crow called to march on with pulled-up socks.

”Oh, weez has such nice clean bright Safe Room!

“Why weez even need to leave such sweet dear spot?”

Huddled in crooning more and more friends all a-boom,

E’en while Crook-Eye and Bush Nose pointed to new found slot.

“Oh, ye timid ones, ye anxious ones, look ye sharp round that first bend!

“Look ye close to find narrow way, twixt those rocks and thorns!

“For The One knows just the space ye needs to send

“Those toes and claws down so safely held like new-borns.”

Dear friends: Please view these snowed-in companion chairs in your mind’s eye as awaiting our critterly friends in more than one spot along the path of their quest!
I cannot remember seeing a better photographic capture of the symbols and essence of true friendship. Those companionable chairs waiting through the snows of winter for the spring sunshine that will bring the friends back out for a chat! Very, very wonderful! Would that all people all over the world had chairs like this awaiting them.

The Week in Pictures: May 31 – June 7.

Dear friends, I just wanted you to especially notice all the news photos showing human conditions in the areas where our critterly friends are journeying!  Also, please note the tiny black spot that is one of our sister planets, Venus, as it transited the Sun on June 5, 2012!  Then join me in meditating upon the “bigger picture” you feel our critters are seeking in view of all of this!

Thank you and bless you all, always,

Granbee!

“……this high clean place is only a way station, you know!”

“……this high clean place is only a way station, you know!”

Back in scratchy corner did Old Croakie wink and sigh,

“Now I rest, now I soak up peace, now I be all new.”

“Not so snappy, Mr. Hoppy,” swirled a whisper by and by

Out of steeplely cone of dust pushed askew.

“This here jest be rest-stop, jest be station on the way

“on the path yon critterly questers do pursue.

“When yon friends on journey get filled with Light-ray,

“They be called out to high rocky places and lowly slew.”

So smoked on dusty voice, “Ye be hoppin’ with critters,

“For they love you and need you and call you along!”

“What be this voice under dust?”gulped Croakey in jitters.

“This dusty voice is Time before Time:  Eternal Song.”

“……such bright clean hugs for sleep dancing!”

“……such bright clean hugs for sleep dancing!”

So now did all friends stretch and breathe in space

Of High Room so wide and clean and glinting all to shine

All in blending stripes as Cuddles patted Donkey brow in trace

Of missing mommy now flowing twixt the two like twine.

“Ah, shush, shush, “did yawn out Ugly Bird in lullaby time.

“Spy ye now Mr. Jitters tipping and toeing in waltz so slow!”

Croaked Crow: “Now ye learns secret of King’s dance so sublime.

“What began as shepherding jitter re-forms for  worship so!”

“……but I’m not GOOD enough!”

“……but I’m not GOOD enough for that High Room!”

“I not good enough, clean enough for goin’

into that High Room of Light,” moaned one critter,

that Flop-Eared Donkey, brayin’ in sad groanin’

in the Wind of Disgust of mind in fear so bitter.

Flop-Eared Boy ran to cry on Donkey’s neck:

“You beez mah fweenz, youz carry mah load!”

“Waitsee, waitsee,” spouted Big Croakie on deck.

“Dat beastie kicked me down no bettr’n a toad!”

So Boy pulled one donkey ear to lead up to Room;

But Croakie hopped on other ear to smash back down:

“He’uns no go in High Room of Light wid ME!”did boom

Out Old Croakie in great frantic hoppin’ under mean frown.

“Then ye can just hop right on out with Snarlies and Growlies,”

pointed all friends in winding chorus blowing up to high shelf.

“Oh,me, oh my, oh bye-bye,” Croakie wept deep in his bowelies.

“Oh, I sees now I give not to Donkey what I’se wants for Self.”

“Oh, please, please, O thou dear cloud o’ witnesses so clean:

“I is beggin’ just one-toe-room in low,low corner of High Space.”

Then did Flop-Eared Donkey step right up smartly to keen:

“Oh, now ’tis I who begs dis Croakie to be forgivin’ me w’out trace.”

Then didst Littley Lamb whisper up to Old Crow:

“Let Rainbow Fly gleam on Donkey and Frog alike,

“Flap them both right quick, quick up and up in tow

“Right straight into High Room free from all strike.”
