30-Mar-12: Philippians 2:12-18

12 Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

14 Do all things without murmuring and arguing, 15 so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world. 16 It is by your holding fast to the word of life that I can boast on the day of Christ that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. 17 But even if I am being poured out as a libation over the sacrifice and the offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you— 18 and in the same way you also must be glad and rejoice with me.

“……and you say if we stop arguing, we can shine brighter?”

So now friends be climbin’ high and sparkin’ sigh after sigh.

So now critters be rockin’ and rollin’ ’round rock and rill.

So now unfolk be leaning’ and keenin’ all up and up so high.

So now all questers be pesters for Crow to give ’em a thrill.

“Why ye not happy to be so sappy with life on this hill?

“Why ye not diggin’ down into critter heart for joy of this trip?”

“Why ye dim your life on this path with so much murmur to kill

“The new light, the new stars, right out of your eyes to slip?”

“Oh, Crow, oh Bird, oh Blythy-fly, all winged ones up there!”

“Ye beesies so righties when ye tellsies us of so wrongelly words.

“Oh, guiding wings, flap and dap down more such wiselings to bear

“Alway and e’er more in smilin’ face so our lightsies not be curds.”

24-Mar-12: John 12:1-11

Six days before the Passover Jesus came to Bethany, the home of Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. 2 There they gave a dinner for him. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at the table with him. 3 Mary took a pound of costly perfume made of pure nard, anointed Jesus’ feet, and wiped them with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4 But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was about to betray him), said, 5 “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?” 6 (He said this not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief; he kept the common purse and used to steal what was put into it.) 7 Jesus said, “Leave her alone. She bought it so that she might keep it for the day of my burial. 8 You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.”

“……and you say HIS FEET needed the balm more than ours?”

So did friends all holding hands and sticks and ears and noses

Lean and huff and carry on with guff up this higher hill, this brighter hill.

So did friends all critterly and snorterly topple and bend to toeses

Keen in pain of scratches and scrapes and wounds to water the thrill.

“Oh, Crow, find that oil, that balm, you say Old BeadyEye did spy!”

“Oh, Bluesay Fly!  Buzz over a drop of that healing so rare!”

“Nay, friends and critters and flopping topsies! Oil not for you nor I!”

“Wait, friends, for streams down below!  Oil for feet of THE ONE so bare!”

“….and you say we are traveling towards a throne room?”

18-Mar-12: Ephesians 2:1-10

You were dead through the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once lived, following the course of this world, following the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work among those who are disobedient. 3 All of us once lived among them in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of flesh and senses, and we were by nature children of wrath, like everyone else. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us 5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— 9 not the result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.

“….and you say we are traveling towards a throne room?”

“Oh, oh, oh!  We beesie to tiredsey, so near deadsy just down yon!”

“Wowsee-nowsee we all smoothed outsie in gilded rain bows!”

“Letsy betsey gittsey uppsey, all friends, all critters: wave a frond!”

So did friends, critters, unfolkly ones march up again with hearts in throes.

“Now mind ye, kind thee ones!  Take heed, ‘fore joy, ‘member no needs to brag!”

“For ‘member ye all grumpies and squawblies and clumplies all washed clean in Light!”

“For ye must see naught of earnings ye did; ye must see only Lighted Love lift ‘gainst drag!”

So did Old Crow caw in flying higher: “Now ye climb on so clean to bring ye own Throne Seat into sight!”

……..and now I see the brighter light because I first saw my own dark spots!”

**********************************************************************

The friends pulled and strained and stained and mulled

Up and up and up and barely one more dust mote trulled

Then stumbling over blots and mots and lots of dark spots

They bumped ‘gainst that bush back, that Shrub Woman’s clots.

“Tootle-roo!  Tootle-ray! I trump and plump the air with bush nose!”

“Scootle here, scootle here, all ye who wouldst come to blows!”

“So bright a light through my twigs I find!”

“So bright a light— ’cause dark spots scraped and left behind.

BARBED WIRE REWOUND REBOUND SURROUND

Rusting needles tangling desired strings

fencing about us insisted in clings

Twisting winded spangles dropped in time

scraping about  fingers grabbed sublime

Climbing limbs slung in tight haste

coiling about us persisted in chaste

Windings about present hearts in blood

tangling lost soles mixed in healing mud

Crawling otherside finger toed stringing

bindings to haul back bales of wringing

Straws in feeding time loose sprinkles

covering scratched reachings in wrinkles

Reaches back to unwind untangled unwired

enfleshed with wired un-wounds unmired

Speckles of heart tied to fingertips

stilling in windings entangled soul slips

UNWINDING

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

*********************************

++++++++++++++

Unraveling threads caught together rewind the road

This mystery road unwinding up the last dark hill

we may ever see searching each other

Unraveling thread fading in old pale leaves

torn from favorite books under gaunt trees

Blown beside an opening that never heaves

Up a path best seen in winter’s dark screes

Unwinding way tangled under twisted threads

sticking out of places near our centers

Pulling and releasing in alteration of our dreads

tangling our lost way with trailing glinters

Rocky pointers to the next bend crossed by breads

crumbed to feed us to crossed unwound centers

We are unwinding back towards a place

found by crossing fibers from each

To lay a dimly sparkling climb to trace

a just found map to that souly peaceful beach

The unraveling thread leaves enough fiber

from me to you in sand pushing new hills.

Unwinding thread brightening stumped toes

rolling on towards pointed lights

Unwinding thread tightening the center woes

filling our centers forgetting slights

Knotting threads wound back through wounds

filling with time’s sands to rest on a higher hill

Unwinding threads on winding paths winding heartstrings into a climbing song.

SEVENTH WEEK THURSDAY: 90 DEGREE POWER VECTOR

While flying through a recent deluge of “non-spam” emails, I was just flabbergasted at all the “travel deals” and “blueprints” on how to live, how to work, how to…..”: you get the picture!  Now I ask you, is it not just SLIGHTLY oxymoronic to present one’s services as “opportunity to expand yourself through travel” and “here is the only blueprint you will need to follow your passion”?  Now, a lot of waistlines no doubt get expanded on cruise ships, but none of the minds of anyone who comes back to ridicule the native citizens of whereever they just ate their way back from.  Excuse me for my presumptuousness, but NO BLUEPRINT could possibly contain this girl’s passions!

Now that I have THAT out of the way (not being as demure as one of  my favorite bloggers), I will follow up yesterday’s post with this:

ONCE WALKING A ONE-EIGHTY (180) AWAY

FROM EACH OTHER–

EACH ON IMPORTANT VECTORS

OF PRE-DEFINITION

EACH ENERGY-BEARING

MAGNETISMS DRAWING

OTHER VOYAGERS

ALWAYS TETHERING EACH OTHER

TO THE OTHER

NOW THE UPWARD CLIMB THROUGH

TANGLED STONE THISTLES

NOW EACH DRAWN

SIDEWAYS,

SIDEWAYS CREATING FORCE FIELDS OF

CACHING THE USABLE

SIFTING OUT THE LITTER

TRIPPING THOSE OTHERS,

PUSHING EVER UPWARDS WITH A NINETY (90) DEGREE

LINE-NET FOR WRAPPING THEM

BACK TOGETHER

AT THE PEAK.

See, folks, the passion driving these tethered climbs cannot be blueprinted and this type of travel comes with only intangible coupons.
