7-Mar-12: John 12:36-43

36 While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become children of light.”

“………and just WHY did you say I am glowing all around the edges?”

All rested and bested for the morrow the friends did stretch and grab

the cloaks and totes, little pluckies for nibbling and scrabbling through the day

All lifted and bowed and slid as one down the far slope as though a tab

marked the very narrow spot where all must file to leave that dear peak in dismay.

But, wait, what is that we hear, what is that we peer to see all crookley of eye?

But, halt, but breathe, but sigh and gasp, what is that goldy, whitey light of shape?

“Oh, am I on fire, am I being swallowed by sun, by this sparkley line on my bye?

“Dear, dear Stumpy, you Clumpy One, that is the Light of your adoption,” whistled Old Crow.

1-Mar-12: Romans 3:21-31

23 since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; 24 they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith. He did this to show his righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed; 26 it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies the one who has faith in Jesus.

“…..and you said all those rules would eliminate me!”

Old Stump Woman clumped and bumped and strumped her BushNose

Into every crack and pit along the way in all those rocks and all those feet

Sticking that BushNose everywhere but ahead, in all spots signs told “NO!s”

Old Stump Woman clumped faster, all the more smellings all the more fleet.

Old Stump Woman kicked down “NO!” signs, pushed over “DON’T” marks

All the while huffing to get past other legs and other pegs and break in line

Til Stump Woman heard a cry above and smelled Ugly Bird calling in larks

Til Stump Woman sniffed tear at being so crude and fell on knees at gift so fine.

….and you said I would never be able to show you

24-Feb-12:  2 Timothy 4:1-5    In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead,  and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I solemnly urge you:  2 proclaim the message;  be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage,  with the utmost patience in teaching.  3 For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine,  but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires,  4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander away to myths.  5 As for you, always be sober, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry fully.

“…..and you said I would never be able to teach you the way up”

All the while Shrub Woman needed a rest and a prop

after stresseling, pusheling from the tangelly bottom

Up dodged and lodged  next her at sheer top

Old Crookeye Sherpherd in huffeling haste made her to sottom.

Beaming light from sparkling eye of Ugly Bird back to friends

Old  CrookEye pulled  dark from last bare topping rocks

Dragging all parts of all friends by heartstrings in new trends

Ne’er giving sway to old mumbelly, tumbelly, scrumbelly blocks.

MEETING UP WITH STUMP WOMAN

ALONG CAME STUMP WOMAN

Just a the floppy-eared boy and the donkey all floppy parts

Flopped and listened and heard as one the bright starsong

Just as four floppy ears danced down the wires to their hearts

With the brushing of angle wings foretold from time so long,

There stamped the squat figure of Stump Woman with no carts

Nor bearing no berries nor nectar to keep strong.

“Oh, Stump Woman, why leave your rest, your roots, your vale

“To stamp wobbly out here with us on the path to you-know-not-what

“When all we ask of you is to root right down for sitting while a tale

“Winds down the funneling floppy ears, singing the heart-wires of this and that

“Why uproot your old skirt to drag in this dust scarce settled after hoof rail

“Plodding the way to a place where you surely could not find a rest mat?”

“Oh, Flopping Eared Boy and Like-Eared Donkey, knew you not,

“Knew you not, I was pulled from taps into earth by most queer gust

“Indeed, lust of winds seeking shaken light from far away cot,

“So they whistled to me, swirling me up and out and to you in trust,

“That you heard the One True Tap Way in funneling ears to swot,

“Away all buzzings and fuzzings from my lowly branches, stripping the crust.”

“So, Stump Woman, we see you now all stripped and gleaming,

“So we hear your beaming, welcome your stamping between we two,

“So we hear from the brightest star a message fresh streaming,

“So new is the beaming of this joining on the road, a new crew,

“So now we are three all flopping and stamping, so newly steaming,

“With heated heart-wires and whittled stump sides to hear true.”

So the Floppy-Eared Boy and the Floppy-Eared Donkey listened in trod

Along a dusty path around hill and rock centered by Stump Woman in stamp

So the Boy and the Donkey and the Stump Woman flopped in nod

To the rhythm of the stars and the wings and the sway of loaded clamp

Of young girl’s mystery infilled leaning unheard by flopped ears or stamped clod

For the load of the donkey could not be seen by ears or stamping root in dewy damp.

NOTE:  On stamped and flopped the three new friends not seeing, only listening.
